The course structure is as follows: Participants arrive for lunch. After lunch the first session of painting begins that afternoon. The course progresses over three or five days, with participants leaving after tea on the final day.
To start the course we will meet in the studio where we will talk through the general form the course will take. Then moving into individual conversations Roy will explore what each participant is hoping to achieve during the course. We are fortunate in having splendid landscape around the studio and so our first subjects will be local to the studio. Later in the course we may move further afield, to the coast, moor or woodland, depending upon individual interests.
Each day tuition begins at 10:00am, continuing through to 1:00pm when we break for lunch. We will begin again at 2.00pm and paint until 4.30pm, when the day's scheduled tutoring ends. The studio and it’s library of art books will remain open throughout the evening so that anyone wishing to continue painting is free to do so. Dinner will be served at 7.00pm. This schedule is entirely flexible and can be easily adapted to your individual requirements.
We focus on individual and small group work, enabling Roy to work closely with each individual in order to satisfy their particular interests.
